Playtesting
Break My Game at MEPACON
Mepacon is teaming up with Break My Game to bring a dedicated playtesting section to the convention. Game designers with unpublished games can sign up for two-hour sessions for a dedicated table. Attendees at the convention are invited to sit down and try out a brand new game and to give feedback.
Sign ups will be available in August.
Once you sign up for a Break My Game table, you will have a dedicated table reserved for each two hour slot. Your game will not initially appear in the Events schedule, but will be included closer to the convention date. Our Break My Game section is intended to have a continuous flow of games, so we will not do a traditional player sign up. Some players may have time to stop by for a full game, others may only have 20-30 minutes. We encourage game designers to work with players to get as much feedback as possible on their games.
Never play tested before?
Don’t worry! It’s extremely easy. All you need to do is come over to the Break My Game section and join one of the tables. The game designer will let you know what kind of feedback they are looking for and work through the process with you. Even if you don’t have time for an entire game, we encourage you to visit one of the game designers and ask them what kind of feedback you can offer.
Do you have a game to share?
Even if you’ve never published a game before, as long as you have a physical prototype to share with us, we’d love to have you. We can work with you ahead of time so that you’re prepared to help your playtesters.

“I love playtesting at Mepacon because it brings in designers from the wider region and allows for more involved games with longer play times. It also provides an opportunity to delve into games deeper and give more detailed feedback.”
